On Wednesday 21st June 2017 construction works of an additional prefab house factory facility began with a symbolic laying of a time capsule in the foundation.

The new factory extension will have modern equipment. Therefore ZTC will improve packaging of produced construction elements, storage of production and materials and allow the factory to develop new product capability. The 1050 m2 factory extension is to be finished by September 2017.

On 21 March of this year, within the framework of EUROMED Invest project took place a conference organized by Latvian biggest association of entrepreneurs Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry LCCI and network of European level chambers of commerce and industry EUROCHAMBRES on Africa Mediterranean region and its business environment. Conference was attended by and involved in active discussions more than 40 Latvian entrepreneurs from various production and service provision industries.

Conference moderator’s role was undertaken by EUROCHAMBRES CEO Dirk Vantyghem, in turn, conference opening speech was given by LCCI Board Councillor in Foreign Affairs Mārtiņš Perts.

Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in the project and attended the event together with AE Partner, Ltd., one of the 20  companies which were involved in the project and has made the made the most energy efficiency activities in the company. Overall project STEEEP activities were connected with individual work with 20 Latvian companies with aim to improve energy efficiency in SMEs. There were organized 9 practical workshops, developed and shared energy efficiency monitoring materials, organized political discussions with stakeholders. Project STEEEP one of main results is also improved LCCI competence in energy efficiency field with aim to support our members and develop new projects in similar activities in future.
